Welcome home 1D!

Good news for all One Direction's UK fans. The boys are finally back on home soil after a gruelling promotional tour of the US and Australia. But the news isn't so good for Harry Styles’ family who have decided to temporarily leave their Cheshire home after so many fans have been hanging about outside, hoping to sneak a peak at Harry! Let's hope the pesky fans let the Mr & Mrs Styles move back in again soon!

GIRLS ALOUD REUNITE... WE HOPE!

Cheryl Cole has dropped some serious hints about a potential Girls Aloud reunion. HURRAH! She told Radio One; “It's coming up to our tenth anniversary in November and we all want to do something to celebrate it, so watch out!” Please let it be true, please let it be true…

Boys on tour

Oritsé Williams reckons that Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes and JB Gill had better watch out during the JLS tour. The playful 24-year-old singer has revealed he has spent a staggering £500 in on joke shop tricks, all so that he can cause mischief when his band mates have their backs turned. Look out for the peashooters and whoopee cushions, lads!

Nicki's Nose

A little birdy told us Nicki Minaj is creating a fragrance inspired by Barbie! She arrived in the UK on Monday to launch the scent.

Nicki spills: “I have always been a huge fan of great fragrances. I’m so excited and I know my fans will love it.”

The fragrance will be sold at the end of this year but Nicki hasn’t named it yet. What would you call it? We’d love to hear your suggestions!

Talent show team-up

We haven’t quite decided which is our favourite telly talent show yet but we were glad to hear that The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent judges are all good friends! X Factor judge Tulisa has been asked to perform her first single ‘Young’ in the Britain’s Got Talent live shows in May. 

Tulisa spills: 'I’m so excited to perform my single for the first time on Britain’s Got Talent but I’m a little nervous to perform in front of my boss, Simon Cowell!'

We’re glad the competition isn’t getting to them – bring on the talent, we say!

Catchy Carly 

Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen is one song we just can’t get out of your heads! It’s so catchy that even the popstars are singing it! Ashley Tisdale, Justin Beiber, Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus have all been mouthing the words and copying the music video. Katy Perry has even posted a three-minute video dancing around with her pals and singing along!

Carly spills, “It blows my mind! I had no idea it would turn into any of this. It's very exciting.”

Winning Will.i.am

We are loving The Voice here at Team GG! This week, Jessie told us she thinks her biggest competition on the show is Will.i.am! This weekend the Battle Rounds begin where each judge will lose four acts – so the competition is hotting up. Even though Jessie wants to win, she said her and Will are best friends!

Jessie spills: “He’s always winding me up, but we just love teasing each other.”

We’ve always wanted Mollie from The Saturday’s awesome style and now you can actually buy it! Satchel bags are now being made that are named after the singing superstar and she was out in London this week showing one of them off. It comes in three different colours but sadly...it’s a little out of our price range at a whopping £450!  OMG.

Taylor touches down

Taylor Swift landed back in Los Angeles yesterday after completing a huuuuge 13 month tour for her Speak Now album. The final dates saw her performing to fans in Australia and New Zealand but over the past year she's entertained audiences in North and South America, all over Europe, and Japan. Phew! After her final show, Tay tweeted her thoughts saying, 'Tonight we ended a 13 month tour. It was a beautiful trip around the world and I wouldn't trade those memories for anything. Thanks guys.' We love Taylor Swift's concerts and can't wait for her next one! Did you see her perform on the Speak Now tour?

McWriters

Those McFly boys are a talented bunch and to prove to us just how awesome they are, Tom and Dougie from the band have signed a two-book deal! The books will be aimed at children and their first, hilariously called The Dinosaur That Pooped Christmas will be out in the shops from October. Nope, we couldn't work out how a dino poops an entire holiday either but Tom gave us a bit of an explanation... 'For anyone who knows us, it is easy to see that this book comes from Dougie's fascination with reptiles, my love of Christmas, and a shared obsession with poop. We approached writing this book in the same way that we write our lyrics. The plot is brilliantly simple – a baby dinosaur who has a big appetite gets a bit carried away!'

We look forward to reading the lads' story! Will you be buying a copy?

Cartoon Katy!

We at GG Towers are huuuuuge Katy Perry fans and we also love getting to create our own cool worlds in the Sims games on our computers. When it was announced that Katy was going to be given her very own Sims character and that we would be able to get to play as her in the new Sims 3 Showtime game, we couldn't wait! We're never going to get to dance about on stage with gingerbread men and giant lollipops so this is definitely the next best thing, obvs. Ms. Perry was rather excited too and spilled, "It's cool to see the Sims' stage performances in The Sims 3 Showtime decked out just like my California Dreams tour - even my cotton candy video screens are in there! I always like to think of myself as a cartoon, and now I'm a Sim!'

The Sims 3 Showtime is out now to buy, so we'll see you (and Katy!) on the Sims stage soon!

Split scene

Sad times, music fans - Selena Gomez has split from her band, The Scene! After releasing three albums in three years (busy girl!) Sel has decided to focus on her acting and take a break from her music. She says the band will get definitely back together in the future but it won't be for a while. We love Selena whatever she does, so we look forward to seeing her on the big screen again soon!

Boyband bonanza

What happens when you cross the UK's biggest boyband with America's hottest music group? The obvious answer is awesomeness - and we have exclusive evidence! One Direction, who are supporting Big Time Rush on their US tour later this month, hung out with BTR at the Nickelodeon HQ (that's headquarters to you and me) last week and judging by how cool they all look together, we think they should join and make one big super-boyband to take over the world! That's going to be one ker-azy tour...

The iCarly Direction

What happens when you put together one of our favourite TV shows and one of our bestest bands? The answer is: awesomeness! One Direction are currently over in America making a gazillion fans over there, but in between their busy schedule of generally just being great, they found the time to make an appearance on iCarly.
